Sugar Mill Sound is a full-service commercial recording studio located in Waipahu, Hawaii. Founded by two Disney audio engineers, the studio space was created to serve as a recording hub that fosters creativity and collaboration for all musicians. Our state-of-the-art studio is equipped with a combination of outboard gear and the latest technology to bring each client's unique musical vision to life. Our facilities offer various options to suit your workflow, including our main system featuring 32 mic preamps (see gear list here) normalled through a Focusrite Red 8Pre interface with multiple cue options. Want to bring your own interface? Bring it! We'll get you patched into the system quickly and efficiently. Whether a solo artist or a band, we are here to help you achieve your sound goals. SERVICES
TRACKING & RECORDING
Experience top-notch tracking and recording services in our spacious main tracking room, measuring 25ft x 21ft with 10ft high ceilings. In addition to our larger tracking area, we also provide a wide selection of microphones and outboard gear to ensure that every performance is captured with exceptional clarity and quality.
PRODUCTION & PLANNING
Our studio and staff, are equipped to handle projects of any size; from singles to full album releases and everything in between. We understand the importance of working within your budget, and we're here to help bring your musical vision to life. Let us partner with you to create something truly special!
MIXING &
MASTERING
We take pride in our diverse team of mix engineers, with their own unique specialties. This variety enables us to pair you with the perfect mixer to bring your creations to life. Additionally, our two experienced mastering engineers have successfully transformed numerous songs for CD releases and online distribution charts. Let us help you achieve the sound you envision.
VOICEOVER, ADR, BROADCAST
We specialize in ADR, sound design, and sync for video and film. Using the latest remote collaboration tools like Source Connect and Audiomovers, we ensure a seamless experience for our clients. Our quiet and secluded studio provides the ideal environment for dialog replacement. Let us help bring your project to life with our engineering expertise.

Please kokua, we have a NO WALK IN POLICY. In order to respect the privacy and confidentiality of our clients, we do not allow walk-ins to the studio.
